The Agave Pelona is a very rare agave endemic to the sky islands of Northern Mexico’s Sonoran Desert. It’s species name, Pelona, comes from the Spanish word Pelon, meaning bald. This refers to the lack of sharp teeth along the edges of the leaves. This beautiful agave can reach up to 3 feet high and wide.
