Starrfire Trailing Skullcap

Starrfire Trailing Skullcap makes a great little groundcover for the Southern Nevada! This compact plant will generally grow to about 8” tall by 2-3’wide, possibly a little bigger in the shade. Waves of red flowers that look like little snapdragons will grace this plant from spring through fall. In Las Vegas this plant will do best with some afternoon shade, but does great in full sun elsewhere. Starrfire combines well with other xeriscape plants and will provide a nice change of pace. In colder areas it might need a good hard pruning in the spring to remove frost-damaged foliage.
