The White Rain Lily is a fabulous choice for the Mojave Desert. It tolerates drought, heat and heavy clay soils forming clumps about 12 inches tall and wide. From early summer and into fall, it is covered with large white flowers. Plants can die back from heat stress, but they will recover when temperatures cool off. The White Rain Lily is the most commonly grown species of Zephyranthes. . They work well in borders and small garden spaces.. They will tolerate full sun, but do better if they can get some shade in the afternoon.
