Eucalyptus sargentii is native to the semi-arid parts of southwestern Australia. It requires a location with full sun and is not very tolerant of shade. This is one of the best eucalyptus trees for areas that have a high salt concentration in the soil. It also has a tolerance for extremely Alkaline soils, terrible drainage and heavy clay. In addition it is wind and drought tolerant and can handle moderate frosts. Salt River Gum is a pretty fast grower eventually it will reach up to 40 feet in height with about 25 feet spread.
