Eucalyptus robusta grows commonly as a straight, upright tree to around 70–100 ft tall, with a trunk up 3 feet wide. It is a very large tree and should only be planted in large yards with room for it. It also makes a great street tree. Swamp Mahogany is one of the most widely planted Eucalyptus species in the world. Eucalyptus robusta blooms anytime from March to September with white or cream colored flowers. It generally grows in heavy clay soils, and poor drainage is not a problem for this tree, it in fact loves it.  Swamp Mahogany a very adaptable species, and has been established successfully over a remarkable range of environments including our harsh Mojave desert.
