Lion’s Tail is an evergreen shrub with an upright, clumping growth habit. Orange, woolly, tubular flowers are arranged in whorls up and down the stems. Blooms from late spring to fall. Leaves are dark green and narrow with slightly serrated margins. Often treated as a perennial because it dies back from frost, but will resprout from older woody stems. Attracts pollinators.
